1 of 4. PUT YOUR LIFE ON AUTOPILOT.
You don’t want to think about your morning, your evening, or what you eat. Save that energy for selling.
- Mornings and evenings
- Set a morning routine and an evening routine, and run them the same way every day.
- Food
- Know what you’re eating and when, so you never have to think about it.
- The schedule
- An airtight schedule, so all your energy goes into selling.
2 of 4. WORK ON ONE THING AT A TIME.
Every pitch should be on purpose. Pick one thing to get better at today, and work on only that.
- How you pick it
- Self-assessment. That’s the next card.
- Why one
- You can’t fix everything at once. One thing a day adds up.
- What you’ll see
- Do it every night and patterns start to show up. Those are your gaps.
3 of 4. THE NIGHTLY LOOP.
10 to 30 minutes, depending on how long the pitches are.
- 1. Listen to a pro
- Play a pro pitch all the way through. Don’t pause it. Don’t slow it down.
- 2. Listen to yourself
- Then play your own pitch from the last 24 hours the same way.
- 3. Take three notes
- Write down the three things that stuck out most. Then close your notes.
- 4. Pick one
- Choose one of the three. That’s what you work on tomorrow.
- No pitch yet?
- Record yourself practicing, then do the same thing.
4 of 4. PITCH AT LEAST 30 DECISION MAKERS A DAY.
That’s the minimum.
- Why it matters
- You can’t compare pitches you don’t record. You can’t track progress over time if you don’t record consistently.
- The math
- 30 a day, six days a week, for one six-week deployment is about a thousand conversations. It’s almost impossible to not start selling like a pro at that volume, if you’re intentional.
Try it tonight.
Here’s a sample pro pitch. Listen to the pitch the way the loop says: all the way through, no pausing.
