Rank only
goes up
Five ranks. Earned once, held for good.
How you advance
Every deployment, you’re scored on four things. Each is worth up to 100 points, 400 total. Score 280 or better and you’re eligible for the next rank. Up to one rank per deployment, and up to five deployments a year.
- Production
- How much you bring in during a deployment. $44,000 or less is 0 points. $110,000 is 100. In between it’s a straight line, so $77,000 is 50.
- People
- How many bubbas you recruit and keep. A Sergeant can have up to 3, a Captain 15, a Major 63, a General 255. Your points are the percent of your limit you hold. A Major with 38 of 63 possible is 60%, so 60 points. You don’t have to hit the limit. Privates get a free 100.
- Finishing
- Finish the deployment, 100 points. Quit or get cut, 0.
- Peers
- Your peers rate you out of 10. 5.0 or lower is 0 points. 10 is 100.
You don’t have to be great at everything. Be great at a couple, or pretty good at all four. There are plenty of ways to get to 280.
Your business is the bubbas you recruited and the bubbas they recruited, as long as they’re active. Your bubbas can’t recruit if they don’t get promoted, so every bubba has to invest down.

1 of 8. START WITH RECRUIT TRAINING.
- How you get in
- Everyone starts with two weeks of recruit training in San Antonio. Recruit isn’t a rank. It’s the gate.
- What you become
- You graduate as a bubba with a callsign. Then the ladder starts.
2 of 8. PRIVATE. MASTER THE BASICS.
- How you get it
- Automatic when you graduate recruit training.
- Your business
- None yet. You build yourself first. The people leg is a free 100, so your first promotion comes fast.
- Billets (jobs you can be awarded)
- Bubba or team leader.
3 of 8. SERGEANT. UP TO 3 BUBBAS.
- How you get it
- Automatic once you score 280 out of 400. Nobody has to approve it.
- Your business
- Up to 3 bubbas you recruit and keep.
- Billets (jobs you can be awarded)
- Team leader or squad leader.
4 of 8. CAPTAIN. UP TO 15 BUBBAS.
- How you get it
- Score 280 or better. Then command issues the rank.
- Your business
- Up to 15 bubbas: your first 3, their 3 each, and 3 new ones. Your first 3 can’t recruit their own until they get promoted.
- Billets (jobs you can be awarded)
- Squad leader or platoon commander.
5 of 8. MAJOR. UP TO 63 BUBBAS.
- How you get it
- Score 280 or better. Then command issues the rank.
- Your business
- Up to 63 bubbas. Room opens up as the bubbas below you get promoted.
- Billets (jobs you can be awarded)
- Unit leader or field commander.
6 of 8. GENERAL. UP TO 255 BUBBAS.
- How you get it
- Score 280 or better. Same standard as every rank. Then command issues the rank.
- Your business
- Up to 255 bubbas. Same idea, one level up. You can’t lead bubbas you never built.
- Billets (jobs you can be awarded)
- Field commander, or a seat on the board of erectors.
7 of 8. EVERYONE WINS TOGETHER.
- How it’s built
- Every level wins when the levels above and below it win.
- An example
- Your bubbas can’t recruit if they don’t get promoted. So every bubba has to invest down.
- If you outrank the bubba above you
- You jump ahead of him. Nothing else changes. It’s a free billet bump, and he keeps his rank. So nobody can coast on the bubbas below them.
8 of 8. RANK NEVER GOES DOWN.
- The rule
- Rank is earned once and kept. No matter what. A bad deployment can cost you a promotion. It never costs you a stripe.
- What it means
- Rank isn’t pay and it isn’t a popularity contest. Billets are awarded on top of it.
Selection is by application
There’s a ladder.
It only goes up.
Field roles are independent contractors under a written agreement. Nothing here is an earnings claim. See the recruiting disclosures.
