1 of 3. HERE’S WHO YOUR KID WILL BE AFTER SIX WEEKS.
- What he’ll have done
- About 36 days in the field. Around a thousand conversations with decision makers, most of them starting with a no.
- What he’ll have practiced
- Showing up on time. Taking honest feedback. Doing the work on days he doesn’t feel like it. Going again after a no.
- The idea
- Discipline compounds. The ones who stay long enough to feel it come out different.
2 of 3. HERE’S HOW WE DO IT.
- The standard
- Three rules: show up on time, put in the work, be honest. They’re the floor, not the target.
- The day
- A set day: train, prepare, team meeting, in the field by 12:30, home no earlier than 10. Six days a week, for six weeks, on purpose. Before he deploys, he does two weeks of recruit training in San Antonio.
- The model
- We’re modeled on the Marine Corps, the lite version: a clear standard, a fixed structure and honest feedback. Marine recruit training runs 13 weeks and ends with a 54-hour test called the Crucible. Ours is six weeks, and it ends with War Week.
- Who built it
- Designed by two Marines with leadership and combat experience, on the back of 250 years of proof from the Marines. We’ve been in high-level business a long time. It works. But the bubbas run it.
3 of 3. HERE’S WHY IT WORKS.
- Friction
- Marine Corps doctrine says friction makes the simple hard, and that you train inside it, not around it. Our doctrine says the same. The hard days are the training.
- Decisions
- The Marines built the observe, orient, decide, act loop into their doctrine. Reps learn it too: read what’s in front of you, choose, go, adjust.
- Support
- It’s not hustle culture. It’s discipline culture. He will hit walls. That’s the point, and we help him get past them.
